Sudan's president denies rape, genocide in Darfur

Check out Ann Curry's interview with Omar al-Bashir, the president of Sudan. During the interview he denies the presence of genocide in the region and says that "People have been killed because there is war."

Nice.

He also denies report, after report, after report that mass rapes are being waged against Darfur's women: "It is not in the Sudanese culture, nor is it in the culture of the people of Darfur to rape. It doesn't exist."

This is the first time I read your blog. I really like it. The president of Sudan said rape doesn't exist in his culture, but it exist everywhere. Anyway, I really liked your blog. My blog is just about my day but your blog s about something real. Sorry to get all mushy on you! Just thought I'd let you know.
